Minor Bantam Tier 1's Gain Split
The SMBA Same Day Auto Minor Bantam Nationals tier 1 rep team recorded a split in a pair of Inter county baseball games this week....

Wednesday night in Waterloo the home town Tigers recorded just four hits but 17 free passes issued by Nationals pitching added up to a 12-8 Waterloo victory. Camden Daigle and Michael Pauli had two hits each for Stratford and Daigle knocked in two runs. Carter Stock had a single and scored three times, Naoto Fujita reached base twice and scored both times while Tyler Hotson and Erik Smith added RBI’s for the Nationals.

Tuesday evening in Cambridge Carter Musselman put on strike throwing clinic for the visiting Nationals needing just 80 pitches over seven innings in a 9-1 Stratford victory. Musselman scattered four hits, struck out six, lost the shutout on an unearned run with two out in the seventh and added two RBI’s at the plate. Daigle added a triple and double and scored twice and Caleb Musselman doubled and knocked in two runs. Jack Whitehead caught a solid game behind the plate and Nathan Graff and David Hynd were stellar in the middle infield positions in support of Musselman’s mound gem and all three scored a run on offense as well. The Minor Bantam tier 1 rep team now goes on the road for two more next Monday and Tuesday before returning home for a return engagement with Cambridge next Wednesday at SERC.
