Auto Minor Bantam Nationals tier 1 rep team split a pair of games in Inter
County tier 1 action this week..
Tuesday night in Cambridge Naoto Fujita and Carter Musselman combined to hold the Cubs to four earned runs on seven hits while striking out six in a 9-6 Nationals victory. Musselman added three hits and four RBI’s at the plate while Jack Whitehead had two hits and knocked in two runs and Fujita chipped in offensively with two hits and scored twice.
Wednesday in Waterloo several Tiger hits and walks in the fifth inning turned a close 3-1 game into an 11-1 Waterloo victory. The win avenges an earlier 4-1 loss to the Nationals which remains the only blemish on the Tigers 14-1 record on the season. David Hynd drove home Cam Daigle for the only Stratford run while Whitehead tripled in the losing effort.
