Bantams hang on for win
Stratford took advantage of 9 walks in the 6th inning and scored 7 runs in a 10 - 8 win over the Brantford Red Sox Monday night.
In a game that saw starting Brantford pitcher McMillan hold Stratford to 3 runs over 5 innings the pitch count limit came in the 6th and things turned in favour of Stratford. After scoring 7 runs in the 6th, Stratford was forced to bear down and hold off a rally by Brantford. Stratford starter Nick Ceman was also on his game allowing only 5 runs in 5 innings. William Cave came on in the 7th to put out the fire and preserve the win as Brantford pushed hard in their come back attempt. Mason McKay made a fabulous running catch on a ball that was hit to deep centre field well over his head and somehow caught up to it with outstretched arm made the grab.
