Bantams clinch first place
The Mallot Creek Group Stratford Nationals bantams won both games of a
double header at National Stadium Monday night to lock up first place
in Tier 1 division in the ICBA loop.
In game 1 Carter Roth threw a 1 hitter in a 13-1 win. Stratford scored runs in each of the 4 innings in a mercy rule decision. Keegan McArthur had a triple and 2 doubles Roth, Tyler Gould had 2 singles and Mason McKay , Nick Ceman and Ethan Zehr had singles. In game 2 Mason McKay allowed just 3 hits over 5 innings in a 10 -3 win. Nick Ceman came on in relief and shut the Tigers out in the last 2 innings.At the plate Keegan McArthur had a double and single, Eric Burton had 2 singles and Mason McKay, Carter Roth, Carson Teolis, Nick Ceman, Tyler Gould, Andrew Barber, William Cave and Declan Key had singles.
