Stratford Nationals Mosquito's take two on the road
The Rheo Thompson Major Mosquito team took to the road this week to play games in Listowel and Brantford.

Tuesday night found the team in Listowel beginning a new ICBA Perth County rivalry.  Rylan Hall took to the mound and kept the Legionnaires scoreless through four innings, fanning four and giving up one hit.  The Nationals went into the fifth inning up 5-0, a three run third inning sparked by a two run double by Colin Slattery.  Grady Murphy pitched the remainder of the game striking out 7 including two key batters in the sixth inning where Listowel scored three runs.  That would prove to be all that Stratford would allow making the final 5-3.

Wednesday the boys travelled to Brantford to take on another new team to the division this season.  The Stratford bats were on fire early and often, scoring 25 runs over three innings with every batter in the lineup recording a hit.  Blake Hodgson was on the hill for the Nationals and kept the Red Sox bats quiet with a three inning no-hitter, seven of the nine outs by strikeout.

Next week the boys host Kitchener and Guelph on Monday and Wednesday respectively - both games at Dufferin Park in Stratford.
