Same Day Auto Major Bantam Tier 1 Drop Two of Three
Despite giving up just 10 runs in 22 innings over three games the last two nights, the SMBA Same Day Auto Major Bantam Nationals tier 1 rep team dropped two of the three games in Inter County tier 1 baseball action leaving their record at 4-2 through six games...

Tuesday night in Guelph the home team Royals scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game at four and eventually walked off the Nationals in the bottom of the 12th making it a 5-4 final.

Ethan Boersma, Naoto Fujita and Carter Stock were stellar on the mound for the visitors scattering eight hits, four earned runs and striking out nine.  David Hynd and Nathan Graff had two hits each for the Nats while providing excellent defense at third and second base respectively. Caleb Musselman had a RBI double, Jame Koch a RBI single while Boersma and Kyle Powers also had singles.

Monday night at National Stadium the Bantams were stymied by a great Listowel pitching performance in game one of a twin bill losing 2-0. Cam Daigle and Tyler Hotson were the only Nats to get hits in this one while Daigle scattered two hits on the mound, striking out four and allowing zero earned runs.

In the night cap the home side put up a seven spot in the first inning en route to a 10-3 victory. Caleb Mussleman and Graff paced the offense, Mussleman with three hits and three runs scored and Graff contributing two of each. Carter Musselman had two hits and a RBI, Michael Pauli a hit and knocked in two runs and Fujita a hit and a run scored. On the hill Carter Musselman and Boersma allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out two.
