Bantam Nats Walk Off Guelph, Blast Brantford in ICBA Play
The Same Day Auto Bantam Tier 1 Nationals won two ICBA tier 1 games earlier this week, one taking extra innings and the other a no doubter..

Tuesday in Brantford 11 different Nats had at least one hit in an 11-4 victory over the host Red Sox. Naoto Fujita and Caleb Musselman each had two hits and scored twice, Nathan Graff had two hits and knocked in two runs, Tyler Hotson two hits and a RBI and Cam Daigle doubled and scored twice.  Carter Musselman, David Hynd, Ethan Boersma, Michael Pauli, Carter Stock and James Koch all singled and added a RBI.
On the hill Boersma, Carter Musselman and Stock combined to give up two earned runs on five hits, walking six and striking out 6.
Monday at National Stadium Graff knocked Daigle in with the tying run in the bottom of the sixth inning, Boersma hit a key two run double in the 7th after Guelph had regained the lead and Daigle knocked in Stock with two outs in the bottom of the ninth giving Stratford an 8-7 win over Guelph. The Royals had jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in this one before the Nats steadied the ship defensively and worked their way back into the ball game. Fujita, Erik Smith and Pauli provided a gutsy mound performance for the Nats scattering six earned runs on six Royal hits, walking 10 and striking out six. Daigle finished with four hits and four RBI's while Smith, Stock and Kyle Powers also had solid base hits to help pace the Nationals on offense. Powers caught all nine innings behind the dish in this one doing a good job keeping the Nats hurlers focused on what was a tough night at times on the mound for the Stratford pitchers. The Nationals continue to hover near the top of the ICBA tier 1 standings running their record to 6-2.
The Nats had just finished a busy weekend participating in the St. Thomas Early Bird tournament. The Nats went 3-1 to make the Championship game highlighted by a 7-2 win over Tecumseh in the semi-finals and a round robin 2-1 win over Tecumseh on Saturday only made possible by a complete game no-hitter from Carter Musselman. The Sunday afternoon final vs the WOBA Bulls was washed out by heavy rain and will be played at a yet to be determined later date.
