Same Day Auto Bantam 1 Finish up Regular Season with DH Split

A four run fourth inning for the Nats was the difference in game one sending the visitors on their way to a convincing 6-1 victory. Cam Daigle led off the inning with an opposite field triple and that was followed by run scoring hits from Carter Musselman, Nathan Graff and Michael Pauli. Musselman, Graff and David Hynd also scored in the frame. Caleb Musselman also had a hit for Stratford. Ethan Boersma was stellar on the bump for the Nats allowing one earned run on two Listowel hits, striking out two and walking four.
With the second place finish solidified for the Nats with the game one win a sluggish visiting side allowed three home side runs in the first inning of the night cap, two via the same passed ball in an eventual 3-1 Listowel victory. The visitors managed just three hits in this one, two from Hynd and one from Pauli. Daigle, Pauli, Caleb Musselman and Erik Smith combined to allow one earned run on three Listowel hits, striking out two and issuing six free passes.
All that remains now for the Nats is the ICBA playoff tournament Aug 17-19 and the OBA Championships Aug 31-Sept 2. The staff would like to congratulate all of the boys on their strong regular season effort and the well deserved second place finish.
