18U Tier 1 Nats Move On
The 18U tier one Nationals made quick work of Tillsonburg on Saturday morning in game one of the best of three ICBA quarter final series..
The 5th seeded Nats turned an early 4-4 game into a five inning 14-4 mercy rule win over the 4th seeded Otters.
Cam Daigle went all five innings on the hill for the win. David Hynd and Evan Heinbuch had RBI triples for the winning home side part of a double digit hit attack as the Nationals hammered three different Tillsonburg pitchers, sending the local fans home early from National Stadium to enjoy the rest of their day.
Later Saturday the ICBA announced that Tillsonburg will forfeit game two of the series due to season long behavioral issues, thus giving Stratford a two game series sweep.
Next up will be a best of three semi-final, opponent and schedule TBD.
