SMBA Mega Tournament Dodges Weather, Champions Crowned
SMBA completed all 54 games scheduled across 3 divisions on Fathers Day weekend, dodging most of the rain and getting all games in on schedule..

Our 3 Champions were;

Minor Rookie division - Woodstock defeated Cambridge
Rookie division - Guelph defeated Stratford
Jack Grasby Mosquito division - Stratford defeated Waterloo

SMBA would like to thank Emily Priestap, Steve Miller and all of the Stratford coaches and parents for helping setup the bbq each day and helping get games going when needed; Jamie Antonio for looking after the pitching machines and getting the bbq on site; Jeff Keller and Barry Grasby for convening all weekend and assisting our young umpires.
Thanks to the old boys (Keller, Grasby, Kevin Koch, Steve Vaters and Dave Graff) for stepping in and filling some umpire voids over the weekend.
Thanks to Gary Wambolt and Corey Bridges for making sure Optimist park had convener coverage all weekend.
Thanks to our ICBA Umpire in Chief Brian Hawley for being on site to work with our umpires.
And the final thank you goes to Doreen Grasby and family for once again donating the MVP award in the final game of the Jack Grasby Mosquito division.
