11U Tier 1 Win Championship in St. Thomas
The Allied Associates LLP 11U Tier 1 Nationals competed in the 20th Annual Cardinal
Classic Tournament in St Thomas May 23-25 and went 5-0 to win the
Championship.
In round robin play, every player contributed whether it was stellar defense or pitching or timely hitting as they beat Richmond Hill 15-0, London Talons 6-4 and Chatham 9-4 to win their pool.
In the Semi-Finals the 11U Nats came up against the undefeated Pool B Winners the Mississauga Twins and came away with a 11-2 win in 6 innings. Again, it was a full team effort to catapult them into the Championship Game.
In the Championship Game in a rematch with the London Talons, the Nats scored in the first three innings to jump out to a 7-1 lead. The 11U Nats put the game away with 7 runs in the 7th to win 16-4. Again, on Sunday, it was a full team effort across the board that brought the 11U Nats the Championship.
The team looks to carryover this past weekend’s success in the ICBA League play.
