Sam Near made his first start of the season and it was impressive. Sam went 7 innings on 88 pitches giving up only 3 hits, 2 walks and had 3 pickoffs in each of the first three innings. With the score still knotted at zeros in the third Tyson Hall made an exceptional throw from centre field right to the mitt of Riley Deline who applied the tag to keep the game scoreless. This provided the team what they needed as they came out swinging putting up 5 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in the bottom of the fourth. Yea started the rally with a single followed by a Lynn walk and then 4 straight singles from Tessmer, Roth, Rankin and Hall. Ethan Reid had a walk to round out the scoring.
