18U Tier 1 Nats Win Two of Three
The 18U tier 1 Nats played two games over three nights early this week, winning two of them..

Monday night in Brantford the Nats turned a close 3-2 game into a quick finish after six innings, scoring four in the fifth and five in the sixth to beat the host Red Sox 12-2. Evan Heinbuch pitched a strong five innings for the win giving up two earned runs on four hits and striking out six. Nole Musselman faced the minimum three batters to close out the mercy rule win. At the plate Nathan Graff had three hits, scored and knocked in a run while Cam Daigle and Carter Musselman both had two hits with Musselman knocking in two runs. Jacob Hall reached base twice and scored a run, Ethan Boersma had a two run double while Spencer Eidt, Caleb Musselman and Tallyn Soper also had a hit a piece.
Tuesday night in Waterloo the Nats split a twin bill with the previously undefeated Tigers. Boersma was the hard luck loser in game one, giving up three earned on only two hits while striking out six over five innings in a 3-1 loss. Owen Duiker and Carter Musselman had the only Nat hits with Duiker knocking in Isaac Deline with the Nats lone run.
In the night cap the Nats saw a 4-1 lead disappear only to score four in the top of seven and hang on for an 8-7 victory. Jack Whitehead's two run triple was the big smash in the seventh to put the Nats ahead to stay. Caleb Musselman, Evan Heinbuch and Duiker also had hits with Whitehead finishing with three RBI and Duiker two. 
On the hill Carter Musselman went five and two thirds allowing no earned runs on just two Tiger hits while striking out 12. Eidt and Nole Musselman went two thirds of an inning each to close out the win.

The Nats host Brantford Thursday 7:30 at the Stadium and Cambridge Saturday at 7pm.
