Minor Bantam Reps Lose in Finals of Stratford Tournament
The Minor Bantam tier 1 rep team went into the final game of the Keith Aitcheson rep tournament undefeated for the weekend but were unfortunately on the losing end of an 11-4 decision against the WOBA Astros in the championship game on Sunday...

Carter Musselman and Naoto Fujita were strong on the mound and the Nationals D was solid but the WOBA batters just kept finding green in a 17 hit assault on the hosts. Fujita, Carter Stock, final game MVP Jack Whitehead, Caleb Musselman, Tyler Hotson and Nathan Graff had hits in the finals loss with Whitehead, Graff and James Koch each knocking in a run.

In the semi-finals against Orangeville Camden Daigle threw 6 2/3 innings of no hit ball helping lead the Nationals to a 3-0 victory. Caleb Musselman led the way offensively with a single and a RBI triple and again the Stratford defense was strong in support of Daigle and closer Carter Musselman.

The Nationals began round robin play with a 4-2 win over Kitchener 2. Erik Smith and David Hynd were stellar on the mound allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out seven. Smith, Whitehead, Caleb Musselman, Graff, Hotson and Michael Pauli had hits with Whitehead, Hotson and Pauli knocking in a run each.

In game two the National bats came alive in an 11-0 win over Scarbourgh. Carter and Caleb Musselman combined on a two hitter with nine strikeouts on the bump. Whitehead had two hits and two RBI’s, Carter Musselman and Hynd also had two hits while Smith, Pauli and Graff had one a piece.

To secure first place in the round robin the Nationals hammered Whitby A 19-0 in four innings. Fujita, Pauli and Graff combined on a one hitter with four strikeouts on the mound while Hynd and Hotson led the way at the plate with three hits each.
