The SMBA Same Day Auto Minor Bantam Nationals
tier 1 rep team made it five wins in a row
on Thursday night with an 8-6 win over visiting Woodstock at National Stadium
and with that fifth straight win finished the regular season at 12-12, a very
respectable and hard earned tier 1 record for this group...
Carter Musselman threw three innings on the bump to start the game with Cam Daigle coming in and throwing four very solid innings of relief to close out the win for the Nats. Combined they allowed five earned runs on nine hits while striking out eight.
Offensively Jack Whitehead tripled, knocked in a run and scored, Tyler Hotson had two hits and scored twice and David Hynd had a big two RBI single. Carter Musselman and Michael Pauli each had a hit and RBI, Nathan Graff reached base twice and scored a run while Caleb Musselman and Daigle each had a hit and scored for the home side.
The Nationals now face a long layoff with the ICBA Championship tournament going Aug 25 in Guelph and then the Nats will host the OBA B Championship tournament on Labour Day weekend.
