Minor Bantam Tier 1 Sweep Twin Bill at Stadium
The SMBA Same Day Auto Minor Bantam Nationals tier 1 rep team pounded out 20 hits over two games and pounced on multiple defensive miscues by the visiting Guelph Royals, sweeping a twin bill with 15-10 and 11-4 victories yesterday at National Stadium in Inter County tier 1 action..

Caleb Musselman yielded the hot bat in game one stroking two triples amongst his three hits while also scoring three times. Jack Whitehead also tripled, scored twice and knocked in four runs. Tyler Hotson had two hits and two RBI’s, Carter Stock had a hit and knocked in two runs while Nathan Graff and David Hynd each scored two runs.

On the mound Naoto Fujita and Cam Daigle pitched around some hot Royal bats allowing eight earned runs on 11 hits while striking out five.

In game two starting pitcher Carter Musselman gutted out a tough five inning outing allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out three Royals. Stock cleaned up the sixth and seventh innings with an effective outing in relief. Graff led the way offensively stroking three hits and scoring twice while Caleb Musselman and Michael Pauli each had a hit and two RBI’s. Hotson, Carter Musselman and Daigle also chipped in with a hit and each knocked in a run while Fujita had a hit and scored twice.

The Nationals finish up the regular season on Thursday and with four wins in a row and five in their last six, a .500 season in the ICBA tier 1 loop is on the line when visiting Woodstock comes to town.
