Minor Bantams Fall to the Red Sox
The Stratford Nationals Industrial Hydraulics and Machines Minor Bantams resumed play on Tuesday, a couple of weeks since their last game.

The Nationals hosted the Brantford Red Sox at National Stadium and for most of the Nationals this was their first game at that locally famous Stadium.  Just like the last game against Brantford, runs would come at a premium.  The Red Sox struck early with a run in the first inning, and as it turned out that would be the only run they would need.  Kaden Brame started on the mound for the Nationals and Jake Heinbuch took over in relief early in the 3rd inning, going the rest of the way.  The Nationals were only able to gather 3 hits on the evening with singles coming from Luke Zorgdrager, Sam Jeffrey and Cole Meadows.  While the Nationals did get a few more runners on base due to 3 walks and one fielding error by the Red Sox, they couldn’t string together anything to lead to a run.  The Red Sox added another run in the 7th as insurance, and the game ended with the Red Sox earning a second consecutive 2-0 win over the Nationals.

The Minor Bantams return to play this weekend in the London Badgers Trevor Barton Memorial Tournament.
