Minor Midgets Make Run to Semis in 18U Tourney
The SMBA WK Financial 16U (Minor Midget) team made a spirited run to the semi finals of the SMBA hosted 12 team 18U tournament over the weekend....
Stratford finished with the 3rd seed after round robin play and thumped 6th seeded Sarnia 18U 8-2 in Sunday morning QF action. In the SF game Stratford hung tough with 18U Halton Hills, a 1-0 game in the 5th ending in a 7-0 Eagles final. Waterdown edged Halton Hills 4-3 in the Sunday afternoon championship game.
Earlier Stratford won their pool with a 2-1 round robin record - a 5-2 over Brantford 18U, 8-3 victory over Pickering 18U and a 2-1 loss to Waterloo 18U2.
