Brame Electric Minor Peewee's make London Badgers Finals
The Brame Electric Tier 1 Minor Peewee's slug their way into the London Badgers Championship game this past weekend.

In the opening game Friday night the Minor Peewee's faced a very strong Tincaps AA team and took a tough 13-0 loss. On Saturday morning they faced another tough team in the Lasalle Athletics. Lead by a strong pitching performance from Jonas Schmidt and timely hits from Kaden Brame, Luke Zorgdrager and Liam Parsons. Stratford came away with a 8-2 win.
Late Saturday in their 3rd game Stratford faced a depleted St.Thomas team. Stratford bats came alive as they scorched St.Thomas 16-0 in 4 innings of play. Ethan Martin had 2 triples,  Jake Hienbuck with 2 doubles and Drew Tessmer hit a double and a single that headed up the offence. With a solid 2-1 performance in round robin the Minor Peewee's secured 2nd spot in pool A to move on to sunday.
In semi final action Stratford again had their hands full as they faced the winners of pool B, London Techumseh. In a gutsy performance the Nationals fought back from being down 5-2 in the 6th and took the game to extra innings.
To start off the 8th inning Stratford hit back to back to back doubles by Hienbuck, Brame and Zorgdrager to finish off the impressive comeback defeating Techumseh 8-5 for a rematch with the Tincups in the final.
In the Championship game Nationals pitcher Karson Stokke pitched a gem holding the Tincups to just 5 hits over 6 complete innings but it was just not enough as Stratford fell short losing 3-1 to a very impressive London squad. Overall solid defensive performances by catcher Haden Frayne, center fielder Cole Meadows, shortstop Jared Gould and right fielder Bo Schurink kept the defence going thru out the weekend. The star of the weekend was team tournament MVP Jake Hienbuck with 7 doubles in 5 games. The Minor Peewee's are winners in 5 of their last 7 games and look to continue their winning ways as they head to Waterloo on Monday night.
