Minor Bantam Tier 1's Win Two of Three

Monday night in Woodstock the Nationals finished off the long weekend with a marathon 12 inning game with the host Wranglers eventually pulling out a 6-4 victory. Carter Stock and Naoto Fujita combined to throw 11 stellar innings, Carter Musselman recorded the save, the three hurlers combining to allow three earned runs on six hits while striking out eight Woodstock batters. Musselman added five hits at the plate while Camden Daigle stroked three hits with both players driving in two runs. James Koch singled while Erik Smith and Caleb Musselman scored runs for the winners.

Tuesday night in Guelph the Nationals stormed back from an 8-3 deficit eventually beating the Royals 12-11. Jack Whitehead had two hits and two RBI’s to pace the visitor's offense while David Hynd knocked in two runs. Fujita, Smith, Graff and Peewee call up Nole Musselman all singled with Musselman scoring three times, Fujita twice and Smith and Graff once each. On the hill Carter Musselman and Erik Smith combined to allow seven earned runs while striking out six. Daigle came in and recorded the save striking out the final Royal batter with the tying run on third base.

Wednesday in Stratford the visiting Cambridge Cubs parlayed five first inning hits into a five run inning which ended up being the difference in a 7-2 Cambridge victory.  Daigle and Caleb Musselman combined to allow six earned runs on 11 Cub hits while striking out 4. Tyler Hotson had two of the National hits and scored a run while Graff and Carter Musselman each singled and knocked in a run. The Nationals record sits at 3-4 through seven games in the Inter County Minor Bantam tier 1 division.
